Triple Treat Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Brownie layer

01 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 3/4 cup cocoa powder
03 - 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
04 - 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
06 - 2 large eggs
07 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Oreo layer

08 - 1 pack of Oreo cookies (choose regular or double-stuffed)

→ Cookie dough layer

09 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
11 - 1/4 cup light brown sugar
12 - 3/4 cup white sugar
13 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
14 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
15 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
16 - 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
17 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
18 - 1 large egg

# Instructions:

01 - Melt the butter in a saucepan on medium heat. Stir in cocoa powder and sugar once the butter has fully melted. Take it off the heat and whisk in vanilla, salt, and eggs until smooth. Add the flour and stir well. Keep this mix aside.
02 - Blend the softened butter with both sugars using a stand mixer until creamy. Toss in the egg and vanilla, remembering to scrape the sides. On low speed, add flour, salt, baking powder, and soda until just mixed in. Gently stir in the chocolate chips. Set this dough aside.
03 - Turn your oven to 175°C (350°F). Cover the base of a square 9x9 pan with parchment or foil and give it a light spray with a non-stick spray.
04 - Spread the cookie dough evenly across the prepared pan. Lay Oreo cookies across the dough in a single layer without them overlapping. Pour the brownie mix over the Oreos, spreading it out smoothly.
05 - Pop the pan into the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Poke the middle with a knife—if it comes out clean, take it out. If it’s sticky, leave it for another 5 minutes. Cool it for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.

# Notes:

01 - Give it at least an hour to cool if you want clean, sharp slices.
02 - Square or non-stick pans work best. Glass or weird-shaped pans might not bake evenly.
03 - Feel free to try different Oreo flavors—double-stuffed, seasonal, or flavored ones all work great!
04 - If you're using a boxed brownie mix, adjust the batter so it comfortably covers the cookie layer.
