Sausage Honey Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup of freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
02 - 1 pound of pork sausage flavored with sage.
03 - 2 eggs, use one for the mix and save the other.
04 - A couple of sprigs of thyme, chopped, plus a bit extra.
05 - ½ cup of crispy panko crumbs.
06 - 2 tablespoons of whole-grain Dijon mustard.
07 - Two puff pastry sheets (17.3 oz total).
08 - 2 tablespoons of Everything Bagel seasoning.
09 - Hot honey to drizzle generously over the top.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Stir sausage, cheddar, breadcrumbs, one egg, and thyme together in a mixing bowl until it's evenly combined.
03 - Beat the extra egg with a splash of water to make a quick egg wash.
04 - Roll out the puff pastry and slice into four strips by halving each sheet lengthwise.
05 - Shape sausage mixture into four long pieces, lay on the strips. Spread mustard on one side, brush the other side with egg wash, then roll them up and seal well.
06 - Cut into pieces about 1½ inches long after scoring the tops. Coat with egg wash, sprinkle on seasoning, and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden and crispy.

# Notes:

01 - Keep unbaked rolls in the freezer if needed.
02 - Best served warm with some hot honey drizzled on top.
03 - Great as a party snack.
