French Toast Roll-Ups (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Roll-Ups

01 - Crustless white sandwich bread, 8 slices
02 - Sausage links (pork or turkey), 8 fully cooked
03 - 2 eggs, large
04 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
05 - 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
06 - 60 ml milk
07 - 15 g butter for frying

→ Topping

08 - 50 g sugar, granulated
09 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
10 - Maple syrup for dipping or drizzling

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a rolling pin and press each bread slice until it’s nice and thin—easy to roll up.
02 - Take a sausage link and place it close to the edge of one flattened bread slice. Roll it snugly, then do the same with the rest.
03 - Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow dish until smooth and blended.
04 - Heat butter in a skillet over medium. Dunk each roll-up in the egg mix to coat all over, then put it seam-side down in the pan. Cook about 2–3 minutes per side, turning till golden brown all around.
05 - Combine sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll the freshly cooked roll-ups in this mix so they’re well covered.
06 - Serve these warm, with maple syrup for dunking or drizzling on top.

# Notes:

01 - Using bread that’s a day old works better—it won’t get too mushy during cooking.
