Homemade Chocolate Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla essence.
02 - 1/2 cup chilled water.
03 - 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt.
04 - 1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate powder.
05 - 1 cup white sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Start by combining the cocoa powder and sugar in a cold saucepan. Whisk until there are no visible clumps, ensuring an even mix.
02 - Add the salt to your cocoa and sugar mixture. Then, gently pour in the cold water while whisking to avoid lumps.
03 - Move the saucepan to a medium or medium-high stove setting. Stir regularly as you bring the mixture to a slow boil.
04 - Lower the heat as soon as it starts boiling, and let it simmer gently. Don’t forget to stir often to keep it nice and smooth.
05 - Let the sauce simmer for exactly 30 seconds, stirring non-stop, then take it off the heat quickly.
06 - Allow the mix to cool a bit before stirring in the vanilla essence. Blend it thoroughly into the sauce.
07 - Transfer the finished chocolate sauce to a glass jar. Let it cool completely while sitting at room temperature.
08 - Watch as the sauce cools down and gradually thickens to the perfect consistency for pouring.
