Taco Stuffed Tomatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 450g ground beef, lean preferred
02 - 4 medium tomatoes, ripe
03 - 1 pack taco spices (about 30g)

→ Toppings and Fillings

04 - 40g chopped onions
05 - 60g grated lettuce
06 - 60g sour cream
07 - 80g shredded Mexican-style cheese blend
08 - Serve with taco dip sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Cut a simple 'X' into the top of each tomato, then gently pull apart the sections to make room for stuffing.
02 - Heat up a pan on medium and toss in the ground beef. Break it up into small bits as it cooks. Mix in your taco seasoning and stir until the meat's fully cooked and the spices blend well.
03 - Start with a bed of shredded lettuce, placing it inside each topped tomato.
04 - Scoop some of the cooked, seasoned beef onto the lettuce inside each hollowed-out tomato.
05 - Add chopped onions and a sprinkle of Mexican-style cheese right on top of the meat.
06 - Finish up by adding a spoonful of sour cream on top of your stuffed tomatoes.
07 - Bring the stuffed tomatoes to the table with taco sauce for dipping on the side. Best eaten fresh while the textures are just right!

# Notes:

01 - For a low-calorie twist, swap sour cream with Greek yogurt. Firm tomatoes work best to keep their shape when filled.
