Grinch Christmas Truffles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 18 red heart-shaped sprinkles.
02 - Green gel food dye.
03 - About 340 grams of vanilla-flavored coating (like almond bark).
04 - Half a cup of soft whipped cream cheese spread.
05 - 36 classic Oreo cookies.

# Instructions:

01 - Put the cookies in a blender or food processor. Pulse them for a couple of minutes until they turn into fine, crumbly bits that look like dark sand.
02 - Take a large bowl and mix the crushed cookies with the cream cheese spread. Stir and knead it all together until it turns into one smooth and sticky dough. You might find it easiest to use clean hands for this step.
03 - Scoop out about 1 ½ tablespoons of the dough for each ball. Roll them between your hands until smooth, and set them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
04 - Place the tray in the fridge and let the dough balls chill for at least 30 minutes to an hour. They should be firm before moving on.
05 - Break the vanilla almond bark into chunks and toss them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for a minute, stir, and then heat it up in short 15-30 second bursts, stirring each time, until completely melted. Be careful not to overheat it to avoid any lumps.
06 - Mix the green gel dye into the melted coating. Stir well until you get that bright Grinch-like green color. Stick with gel - liquid dye can mess up the texture.
07 - Dip each of the chilled balls into the green coating so they’re completely covered. Let the extra coating drip off, then place them back on the parchment paper.
08 - With the coating still wet, press one red heart sprinkle into the top of each truffle. This adds a fun and festive look to them.
09 - Pop the tray back in the fridge for another 30 minutes or until the coating is firm. Serve them chilled or at room temperature and enjoy the compliments.

# Notes:

01 - These cute treats are perfect for parties or as homemade holiday gifts.
02 - Gel food coloring ensures the coating stays smooth while mixing.
03 - Keep them in the fridge if making ahead; they’ll stay fresh for your event.
