Turn your oven on and set it to 177°C (350°F). Grab a 23×33 cm baking dish, and spray it lightly with a nonstick spray so things don’t stick.

Take a big bowl and mix the yellow cake mix, eggs, vanilla, and oil until you’ve got a thick and sticky batter. Gently stir in Smarties (or French-style chocolate candies) and dark chocolate pieces until it’s all spread evenly in the dough.

Scoop the dough into your greased pan and spread it out smoothly with a spatula. Bake it in your heated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the top edges turn golden and the center feels just done. Keep an eye out to avoid overcooking and keep them soft!

Let your cookie bars cool all the way down in the dish before slicing them up. Once they’re cool, cut into pieces and dig in!
