Caramelized Sweet Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tbsp avocado oil or extra-virgin olive oil
02 - 2 lbs yams (like Jewel or Red Garnet sweet potatoes)
03 - 1 tbsp pure maple syrup (if you'd like it sweeter)
04 - ½ tsp chili powder
05 - ¾ tsp kosher or sea salt OR ½ tsp regular table salt
06 - ¼ tsp black pepper
07 - ½ tsp cinnamon
08 - ½ tsp garlic powder
09 - ½ tsp paprika

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 425°F. Put parchment paper on a roomy 15x21 baking tray, or prep two smaller ones.
02 - Peel the skin off. If they wobble, slice a thin piece off the bottom so they're steady. Cut into ½-inch circles, then into cubes.
03 - Place cubes on a baking tray. Toss well with your oil, spices, and optional maple syrup.
04 - Lay cubes flat on the tray, with space between them so they don’t stick.
05 - Pop them in the oven and roast for 25-35 minutes at 425°F. Shuffle them around roughly halfway through (about 15 minutes).
