Cowboy Casserole Tots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat & Dairy

01 - 225 grams ground beef (85/15 fat)
02 - 60 millilitres sour cream
03 - 80 millilitres whole milk
04 - 120 grams cooked bacon, crumbled
05 - 120 grams shredded cheddar (sharp, set some aside)

→ Vegetables & Frozen

06 - 160 grams corn kernels
07 - 900 grams frozen tater tots

→ Condiments & Seasoning

08 - 160 grams condensed mushroom soup
09 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
10 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 190°C and grease a 23x33 centimetre pan with some butter or oil so food won’t stick.
02 - Warm up a large skillet on medium and toss in the beef. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until it’s browned all through.
03 - In the skillet, add the milk, corn, part of the cheddar, condensed soup, pepper, bacon, sour cream, and onion powder. Mix until smooth and blended.
04 - Spread the beef mixture evenly in the pan. Sprinkle the set-aside cheese on top, then arrange a single layer of frozen tater tots to completely cover it.
05 - Place the pan uncovered in the oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the tater tots are crunchy and golden.
06 - Take it out and sprinkle the last bit of cheese over the baked tater tots. Leave it in the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts perfectly.

# Notes:

01 - Before serving, let it rest for about 5 minutes. This way, everything firms up and the flavors come together.
