Tater Tot Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base and Protein

01 - 16 ounces ham, diced
02 - 1 bag frozen tater tots (30–32 ounces)

→ Cheese

03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella or monterrey jack cheese
04 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

→ Liquid Mix

05 - 8 large eggs
06 - 1 cup sour cream
07 - 1/2 cup milk

→ Seasonings

08 - 1–2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional)
09 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
11 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

# Instructions:

01 - Turn the oven on to 375°F (190°C). Lightly coat a 9x13 dish with non-stick spray so nothing sticks.
02 - In the dish you just sprayed, layer the tater tots, the diced ham, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar, and all the mozzarella. Use your hands to gently toss it into an even layer.
03 - Use a big bowl to whisk the eggs, milk, sour cream, and all the seasonings, including hot sauce if you want a kick. Make sure it’s smooth and well-blended.
04 - Slowly pour the egg mixture over the ham and tater tot layer in your dish. Try to spread it evenly.
05 - Cook in the oven for about 45 minutes, or until the top has a golden look and the mixture is set.
06 - Take it out of the oven and sprinkle the remaining half cup of cheddar cheese over the hot casserole. Put it back in the oven for 5 more minutes, just until the cheese melts.
