Crank up the oven to 375°F. Cook spaghetti in a big pot of boiling water until it still has a bit of bite. Drain and set aside.
02 -
As spaghetti cooks, brown both the sausage and beef in a wide skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion while cooking. Toss the grease once it's cooked through. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, the seasoning mix, garlic, pepper, and salt. Let it simmer for around 5-8 minutes, then stir in the pasta. It's ready when mixed well.
03 -
As your sauce simmers, slice your bread loaf in half lengthwise and scoop out the inside to make a hollow. Coat the hollowed bread with butter, then sprinkle it with garlic powder. Lightly toast in the hot oven.
04 -
Take the toasted bread halves and pack them with the pasta and meat mixture. Sprinkle on both kinds of cheese—half of each goes on each loaf. Bake at 375°F until cheese is bubbly and golden, about 15-20 minutes.
05 -
Bring out of the oven, use a bread knife to carefully slice, and serve it up.
