Sloppy Joes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 500g of lean minced beef.
02 - 1 small white onion, diced.
03 - 1 chopped green bell pepper.
04 - 2 finely chopped garlic cloves.
05 - 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper.
07 - 1 pinch of chili powder.
08 - 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika.
09 - 420 ml of tomato puree.
10 - 80 ml of ketchup.
11 - 1/4 cup of water.
12 - 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard.
13 - 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce (sauce anglaise).
14 - 1 teaspoon of raw sugar.
15 - 4-6 burger buns (pain burger).
16 - Cornichons (optional).
17 - 1 teaspoon of sea salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Finely chop all your veggies.
02 - Cook your minced beef in a hot pan and set it aside once browned.
03 - Sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until they soften.
04 - Throw in your spices and keep cooking until the smell of the spices fills the kitchen.
05 - Add back your beef and then pour in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, tomato puree, sugar, and water.
06 - Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens nicely.
07 - Spoon some of this onto toasted burger buns and enjoy your meal.
