Heat up a skillet or griddle over medium heat and let it get nice and hot.

Spread butter on one side of the bread slices. Place a slice, butter side down, into the hot pan.

Lay a cheese slice on the bread. Spread one-sixth of the Sloppy Joe meat on top of the cheese. Add another cheese slice on top of the meat, then finish with another buttered bread slice, butter side facing up.

Let the sandwich cook until the bottom slice turns a golden color, which takes 3 to 4 minutes.

Flip the sandwich carefully and cook until the second side is also golden brown.

Take it out of the skillet, place it on a cutting board, and cut it in half if you'd like.

Keep repeating this until you've used up all the bread, cheese, and meat mixture.
