Seafood Mac & Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cheese

01 - 1½ cups freshly shredded sharp cheddar
02 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella
03 - ½ cup grated Parmesan

→ Topping

04 - Chopped parsley for sprinkling
05 - ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)

→ Seasonings

06 - Salt and pepper, adjust to taste
07 - ½ teaspoon dry mustard powder
08 - 1 teaspoon powdered garlic
09 - 1 teaspoon onion powder

→ Sauce Base

10 - 3 tablespoons regular flour
11 - 2 cups whole milk
12 - 1 cup heavy cream
13 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
14 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ Pasta & Seafood

15 - 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (or a mix of lobster and crab)
16 - 8 oz elbow pasta

# Instructions:

01 - Spread the mix into a buttered 9x9 pan, toss breadcrumbs on top, and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes till golden. Add some parsley before serving.
02 - Mix the pasta and seafood with the cheesy sauce. Stir till blended evenly.
03 - Melt butter, stir in flour, and cook till it’s lightly brown. Slowly pour in milk and cream while whisking. Add spices and cheese, stirring till it’s creamy and smooth.
04 - Warm up olive oil in a big pan over medium heat. Sauté shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and firm. Set aside.
05 - Cook elbow pasta in salted boiling water as instructed on the package. Once tender but firm, drain and put aside.
