02 - 1 tablespoon melted butter for topping

→ Creamy Sausage Sauce

03 - 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
04 - 1/4 cup plain flour
05 - 2 cups whole milk
06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - 1/4 teaspoon powdered garlic
09 - 1/4 teaspoon powdered onion
10 - A small pinch of red chili flakes (optional)

→ Extras

11 - 4 large scrambled eggs
12 - 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or mix with mozzarella)
13 - Fresh parsley for a touch of green (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking tray or a round pan.
02 - Press the biscuit pieces flat. Form a circular base, pinching the edges to raise them. Add a butter coat on top.
03 - Bake until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Take it out of the oven when ready.
04 - Brown your sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Mix in the flour after it's cooked.
05 - Slowly pour in milk while stirring nonstop. Add the seasonings and cook until it thickens up in 5-7 minutes.
06 - In a different pan, cook eggs until they're soft but almost set.
07 - Spread the sausage gravy onto the cooled crust. Layer scrambled eggs over it and sprinkle with cheese.
08 - Pop it back into the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese bubbles and melts.
09 - Top with parsley if you'd like, cut into slices, and enjoy while warm.

# Notes:

01 - Swap with turkey sausage for less fat.
02 - Toss in veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms.
03 - Let the crust bake longer if you want it crispier.
