01 -
Coat the inside of your large 6-quart oval slow cooker with a cooking spray. Toss the onion slices and mushrooms into the base.
02 -
Mix the ground beef thoroughly with breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, steak seasoning, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and dried onion flakes.
03 -
Make 4 to 6 patties by shaping the beef mix into ovals. Press them thin and place them flat in the slow cooker—don’t stack!
04 -
Whisk beef broth, the rest of the Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, and pepper until mixed. Pour carefully over the patties. Cover it and cook on high for 4 hours.
05 -
Once cooking's done, gently remove the Salisbury steaks from the slow cooker.
06 -
Combine 2 tablespoons of water with the last tablespoon of cornstarch stirring until smooth. Add this into the slow cooker and stir the gravy until it thickens.
07 -
Serve the steaks with mushroom-and-onion gravy on top. They pair really well with mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles. Dig in!
