01 -
Toss your butter and sugar together in a bowl and beat until it’s light and fluffy. It should take you 2-3 minutes. Add in the egg and extracts, and mix till creamy and smooth.
02 -
Sprinkle in the strawberry gelatin powder and stir it in thoroughly. The dough will transform into the prettiest pink shade!
03 -
Mix up your salt, baking powder, and flour in a separate bowl. Gradually work this dry mixture into the pink dough until it's soft and even.
04 -
Scoop the dough into small balls, about a tablespoon each, and place them on a baking sheet with some space between. Use your thumb to press an indent in the middle of each one.
05 -
Put the cookies in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. They should be set but still tender, with small cracks forming at the edges.
06 -
As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, gently press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. The heat will help it stick, but it won’t melt.
07 -
Let the cookies cool completely, then dust the tops with a light layer of powdered sugar. It’s like adding a snowy touch to their tops!
