Perfect Popcorn (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil.
02 - 1/3 cup of popcorn seeds.
03 - A pinch of salt to your liking.
04 - 1 tablespoon of butter, if you want.
05 - Extra toppings of your choice (e.g., paprika, nutritional yeast).

# Instructions:

01 - Place your 3-quart sturdy pot on medium-high and warm up the oil till it’s all liquid.
02 - Throw in 3-4 test kernels and wait till they’re popping.
03 - Evenly spread the rest of the kernels across the pot bottom.
04 - Remove your pot from heat, put the lid on, and count to 30.
05 - Place the covered pot back on the heat, waiting for the popping to start.
06 - Keep shaking the pot gently over the stove as the kernels pop away.
07 - Keep the lid slightly open so steam can escape, giving you crunchier popcorn.
08 - Listen till the pops slow down to a few seconds apart.
09 - Move the pot off the burner as soon as the popping slows a lot.
10 - Pour your freshly popped popcorn into a large bowl immediately.
11 - This is optional, but if you want, melt some butter in the empty but still-warm pot until it’s golden.
12 - Pour the melted butter onto the popcorn, stirring while you drizzle.
13 - Season with salt and anything else you love for flavor.
14 - Give it a good toss so everything mixes evenly. Serve it up while it’s warm and crispy.
