Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, brought to room temperature.
02 - 1 large egg, warmed to room temperature.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
04 - 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter (non-stir).
05 - 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
06 - 1 1/2 cups plain flour.
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
08 - 1/2 cup white sugar + extra for rolling.
09 - 1/2 cup soft brown sugar.
10 - 36 pieces of chocolate, such as Kinder or Lindt squares.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven and let it warm up to 190°C. Prep your baking trays with baking paper.
02 - Using a mixer or by hand, mix together the peanut butter, softened butter, and both types of sugar until creamy.
03 - Crack in the egg and splash in the vanilla. Beat everything until it’s nice and smooth.
04 - Slowly mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until you’ve got dough that sticks together.
05 - Grab small bits of dough, roll them into 2.5 cm balls, and roll each one in sugar.
06 - Pop them in the oven for about 8–10 minutes until they puff up slightly but keep their round shape.
07 - Once you take the cookies out, press a chocolate piece into the center while they’re warm.

# Notes:

01 - Go for peanut butter that doesn’t need stirring.
02 - Be precise when measuring the flour for good results.
03 - Chill the chocolates ahead of time—makes them easier to handle!
04 - Allow the cookies cool all the way before enjoying.
