Oven Roasted Garlic Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon dried thyme
05 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 large green or red cabbage
07 - 1 teaspoon salt (adjust if needed)
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - Extras: grated Parmesan, fresh parsley, red pepper flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prep a big baking sheet by either greasing it lightly or adding parchment paper so nothing sticks.
02 - Peel off any damaged or old leaves from the cabbage. Using a sharp knife, cut it into round slices about ¾-inch thick, making sure the core stays in place so they hold together.
03 - In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Use a brush to coat both sides of each cabbage piece with the mixture generously.
04 - Arrange the cabbage slices on your baking sheet in one even layer. Roast for about 25–30 minutes, turning them over halfway. Take them out once the edges get crisp and golden.
05 - Let them cool down for a moment out of the oven. You can sprinkle on toppings like Parmesan, parsley, or some red pepper flakes to finish them off.
06 - Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat for a few minutes. Cut and season the cabbage the same way as before. Lay the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if needed. Air fry them for 10–15 minutes, flipping once, until crisp and golden.

# Notes:

01 - Pick a cabbage that’s firm with tightly packed leaves for easier slicing and better results.
02 - Don’t crowd the cabbage on the pan—leave enough space for even cooking and crispy edges.
03 - Try switching up the spices! A little Cajun or curry seasoning can give it a new twist.
