Stuffed Dates Maple (Print Version)

01 - 12 pitted Medjool dates
02 - 1/2 cup creamy mascarpone cheese
03 - 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
04 - 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
05 - 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts (pecans, pistachios, or walnuts)
06 - 2 tablespoons of maple syrup for drizzling
07 - 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (optional)
08 - Fresh mint leaves or thyme (optional for decorating)

# Instructions:

01 - Carefully slice each date open lengthwise with a small knife and pull out the pit. Don’t cut all the way through.
02 - Combine the mascarpone, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla in a small bowl. Mix until it’s smooth and silky.
03 - Take about a teaspoon of the mascarpone mix and spoon (or pipe) it into the middle of each date.
04 - Sprinkle chopped nuts over the stuffed dates for texture and flavor.
05 - Drizzle a bit of maple syrup over the top and, if you’d like, add some sea salt flakes or a sprig of fresh mint or thyme to finish.
