Strawberry Milk Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fresh Produce

01 - A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
02 - 450g of strawberries, chopped finely (split into 330g and 120g)

→ Pantry Staples

03 - 480-720ml plain non-dairy milk
04 - 60g of cane or brown sugar (split)

# Instructions:

01 - Take 120g of chopped strawberries and toss with 15g of sugar in a bowl. Leave it there until the juices show up.
02 - In a pan, mix the leftover 330g of strawberries with 45g of sugar and a generous squeeze of lemon. Heat it until it's bubbling, then lower to a gentle simmer. Cook for 10 minutes while stirring so it becomes syrupy and the fruit breaks down.
03 - Pop the syrup in the fridge and let it cool all the way down.
04 - In a tall glass, add 2-3 tablespoons of strawberry syrup, 180ml of non-dairy milk, some ice, and a tablespoon of the sweetened strawberries. Stir it up and adjust the sweetness however you like.

# Notes:

01 - You can keep the strawberry milk for 2-3 days in the fridge. The syrup lasts up to 4 days, but the sweetened strawberries should be used within 2-3 days.
02 - You can freeze the syrup and sweetened strawberries in sealed containers for up to 3 months. Defrost them in the fridge before using.
