Grab a baking sheet, cover it with parchment paper, and put it to the side.

In a big mixing bowl, toss together the cereal, Fritos, and cashews. Use an extra bowl if one isn't big enough.

Melt the butter in a small pot along with the sugar, corn syrup, chili powder, cayenne, and cinnamon. Let it bubble gently over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Take it off the heat, stir in the baking soda, and keep mixing until it's light and foamy.

Pour the caramel mixture over the dry mix and toss everything together until it's all coated.

Spread the coated mix onto the lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugar if you'd like to add a splash of fun.

Let it chill on the sheet for about an hour. Once it's completely cool, break it up into smaller chunks.
