Hearty Instant Pot Meal (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
02 - 1 teaspoon table salt
03 - 2 teaspoons ground cumin
04 - 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
05 - 1 can of chili beans from Bush's, 15 oz
06 - 1 can of tomato sauce, 15 ounces
07 - 1 can of tomatoes, diced, 28 ounces, unstrained
08 - 2 crushed garlic cloves
09 - 1 finely diced onion
10 - 2 to 3 pounds of ground beef, lean

# Instructions:

01 - Turn the Instant Pot (6-quart size or bigger) to sauté mode. Toss in the ground beef and onion. Stir occasionally until the onion softens and the meat loses its raw look. Pour off any drippings.
02 - Dump the cooked meat and onions back into the Instant Pot. Add in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Seal the pot and set the vent to closed. Cook under pressure on high for 30 minutes.
03 - Let the pressure naturally release for around 10 minutes. Then carefully open the vent to fully release any remaining pressure.

01 - Top it with shredded cheese, sour cream, scallions, or even a slice of cornbread for an extra treat.
