Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 9x13-inch dish with a bit of oil or butter.

In a big skillet, cook the onion and beef together until browned and the onion softens. Toss out extra grease and mix in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Combine the tomato sauce, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup with the seasoned beef. Stir until everything's warm and blended.

Put half your cooked pasta into the prepared dish. Then, layer with half the meat mixture and cheddar cheese. Do another layer the same way with the rest of the ingredients.

Spread the shredded mozzarella all over the top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Take off the foil and let it bake another 10 minutes or until the cheese is gooey and bubbly.
