German Red Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 120 ml balsamic vinegar.
02 - A pinch of black pepper.
03 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
04 - 30 grams of butter (unsalted).
05 - 1/2 head of red cabbage, finely chopped.
06 - 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat up the butter in a big cooking pot on medium flame.
02 - Throw in the chopped cabbage and coat it completely with butter.
03 - Let it cook for around 5 minutes until it gets a little softer.
04 - Sprinkle the sugar evenly on top and give it a good stir.
05 - Add in the balsamic vinegar and wait for it to bubble gently.
06 - Turn the flame to low, close the lid, and let it cook for 30-45 minutes.
07 - Keep stirring it now and then so it cooks evenly without becoming too mushy.
08 - Add pepper and salt to your liking.
