Garlic Butter Vegetables (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Veggies for Stir-Fry

01 - 1 cup sliced mushrooms
02 - 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
03 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1 cup broccoli pieces
05 - 0.5 cup thin carrot slices
06 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - 2 tablespoons olive oil or unsalted butter

→ Flavorful Sauce

08 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch (helps thicken if needed)
09 - 2 tablespoons water
10 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, stir together water, soy sauce, and cornstarch until blended well. Put it aside for later.
02 - Melt butter or warm oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Stir in chopped garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until you can smell it.
03 - Throw in the carrot slices and cook for a couple minutes, moving them around so they don't stick.
04 - Toss the broccoli pieces and mushrooms into the pan. Let them cook for 3 to 4 minutes, keeping them crisp but tender.
05 - Drizzle the ready sauce over the veggies. Give it a toss so everything is coated and cook for about one more minute until the sauce thickens slightly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
06 - Move the stir-fried veggies to a plate. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top if you'd like and serve while it's hot.

# Notes:

01 - For a no-dairy option, go with olive oil instead of butter. Swap vegetables depending on what's fresh in your area.
