Flatbread Pizza Margherita (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
02 - 1-2 minced garlic cloves
03 - 2 naan or flatbreads

→ Toppings

04 - A pinch of salt and pepper to taste
05 - 1 cup of your favorite tomato sauce
06 - Fresh basil leaves
07 - 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, fresh and either shredded or sliced
08 - Some thinly sliced ripe tomatoes (1-2)
09 - A quarter cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
10 - Optional red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 220°C (425°F). If you have a pizza stone, pop it into the oven while it's heating up.
02 - Mix your garlic into the olive oil in a small dish. Brush this tasty mix all over the flatbreads till they're coated.
03 - Spoon out the tomato sauce and spread it thinly over the flatbreads, leaving a small edge uncovered.
04 - Spread the mozzarella cheese evenly over the tomato sauce, then sprinkle Parmesan on top.
05 - Layer the sliced tomatoes across the cheese, spreading them out so there's a bit on each bite.
06 - Add a bit of salt, pepper, and if you're feeling adventurous, some red pepper flakes.
07 - Place the flatbreads straight on the oven rack or stone. Cook for about 10-12 minutes till the cheese melts and edges get crispy.
08 - As soon as you've pulled them out, throw on the fresh basil. It’ll soften up from the heat.
09 - If you'd like, drizzle with more olive oil, slice it up, and enjoy while it's hot.

# Notes:

01 - Using flatbreads makes this a quick way to enjoy a Margherita-style pizza with classic flavors.
02 - Fresh mozzarella and a high-quality tomato sauce really make the difference here.
