# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 medium onion, diced
02 - 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
03 - 1 pound ground beef
04 - ½ cup uncooked long grain rice
05 - 1 green pepper, diced (around ¾ cup)
06 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
07 - ½ teaspoon pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic
09 - 2 cups canned tomatoes with juice (16 ounces)
10 - 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
11 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Heat up a 12" cast iron or similar skillet on medium heat. Cook the beef, onion, and green pepper till the meat's no longer pink and the veggies are softening up. Pour off any extra grease.
02 - Throw in the tomatoes, rice (uncooked), chili powder, garlic, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir everything to combine.
03 - Cover the skillet with an oven-safe lid or foil. Make sure it's sealed well to hold in the heat.
04 - Set your oven to 375ºF and let it bake, covered, for about 35-45 minutes. Just keep baking until the rice is nice and tender.
05 - Fluff up the rice with a fork. If you're using cheddar cheese, sprinkle it on top. Dish it out and enjoy. Store leftovers in a sealed container.

# Notes:
