Whip together the softened fromage frais and butter in a mixing bowl until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.

Gently mix in the sea salt, caramel sauce, and confectioner’s sugar on low speed until the sugar is mostly combined.

Turn the speed to high and beat it for about 2 minutes until the texture becomes light and creamy.

If it’s too thick, mix in a splash of milk. If it’s too runny, throw in a bit more confectioner’s sugar to thicken it up a bit.

Either use the frosting right away or transfer it into a sealed container and pop it into the fridge. Before using it the next time, let it warm up to room temperature and give it a quick whisk to refresh its texture.
