Easy Banana Crumble (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Topping

01 - ¾ cup toasted pecans
02 - 4 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
03 - ¼ cup flour
04 - ¼ cup oats (old fashioned)
05 - ¼ cup brown sugar, light or dark

→ Filling

06 - 6 medium bananas, chopped into 1-inch pieces
07 - 2 tablespoons butter
08 - ¼ cup orange juice
09 - ½ cup brown sugar, light or dark
10 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
11 - ⅛ teaspoon salt

→ Serving

12 - Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream topping

# Instructions:

01 - Mix oats, sugar, flour, and butter using your hands until it looks crumbly. Toss in the pecans and pop it in the fridge while you work on the filling.
02 - Over low heat, melt butter in a 10-inch cast iron skillet. Swirl in the brown sugar and stir till it mixes smoothly (3 minutes or so). Sprinkle the cinnamon and salt, then pour in the orange juice carefully—it'll bubble up. Let it cook for another minute till it slightly thickens.
03 - Gently toss the banana chunks in the skillet, making sure they're all covered in that sweet sauce. Spread them out evenly across the pan.
04 - Take the skillet off the burner. Evenly scatter the crumbly topping over the bananas. Pop it in a 350°F oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until it’s golden and crisp.
05 - Allow it to cool for around 10 minutes in the pan before scooping it up with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when served warm
02 - Can work with any oven-friendly skillet
