Turn your oven to 400°F (200°C) and get a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Lay out the chickpeas on a paper towel, then pat them down until they're as dry as possible. Dry chickpeas make crunchier snacks.

Mix the chickpeas in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne if you'd like it spicy.

Spread them in one layer across the prepared baking sheet. Pop the tray into the oven for 25-30 minutes, giving it a shake midway through baking to help them cook evenly. They should turn crispy and golden.
