Crispy Tot Pizza (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - A bag (32 oz) of frozen tater tots
02 - 1 pound of ground beef (or use Italian sausage for extra zing)
03 - 2 cups of marinara or pizza sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning mix
05 - A small onion, finely chopped
06 - Two cups of shredded mozzarella (or mix in some cheddar)
07 - Season with salt and pepper as needed

→ Optional Toppings

08 - 1/4 cup of sliced mushrooms
09 - Diced half of a bell pepper
10 - 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
11 - 1/2 cup of small pepperoni slices
12 - 1/2 cup of sliced olives (black)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to heat up to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a casserole or a 9×13 dish.
02 - Toss the ground beef and onion into a big pan over medium heat. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion's soft (this should take about 5–7 minutes). Drain the grease when done.
03 - Pour in your marinara or pizza sauce, sprinkle the Italian seasoning, and add some salt and pepper. Stir it all together. Let it simmer briefly.
04 - Put the beef-sauce mix in the bottom of your dish, leveling it out. Add a cup of shredded cheese over the top.
05 - Place a layer of tater tots over the cheese and beef. Cover the tots with the other cup of cheese.
06 - Pop the dish into the heated oven. Bake for around 25–30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the tater tots look golden and crispy.
07 - If you’re adding items like pepperoni or veggies, sprinkle them on top now. Bake for an extra 5 minutes to warm them up.
08 - Take your dish out of the oven. Let it sit for a few minutes before digging in. Enjoy the pizza-inspired goodness!
