Slow Hot Chocolate (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups whole milk.
02 - 4 cups heavy cream, separated.
03 - 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate bar, chopped finely.
04 - ⅓ cup cocoa powder, unsweetened.
05 - 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk.
06 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.
07 - Optional toppings like whipped cream, candy canes, or marshmallows.

# Instructions:

01 - In your slow cooker, stir cocoa powder into 2 cups heavy cream until it's smooth and lump-free.
02 - Mix in the rest of the cream, milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and the chopped chocolate.
03 - Set the slow cooker on low heat, cover, and let it cook for around 3 hours, giving it a stir every 20 minutes so it doesn’t burn.
04 - Turn to the warm setting once it's cooked. Thin it out with a splash of milk if it's too thick. You can leave it warming for up to 3 hours.
05 - Pour into cups and toss on marshmallows, candy canes, or whipped cream as toppings.

# Notes:

01 - Always combine cocoa with cream first to avoid clumping.
02 - Choose quality chocolate for a richer taste.
03 - Keep it warm and ready to serve at gatherings.
04 - Stir in extra milk to thin it out if needed.
