Baklava Cream Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Base

01 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
02 - ¼ cup chopped walnuts
03 - ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
04 - ¼ cup honey
05 - ¼ teaspoon salt
06 - ¼ cup chopped pistachios
07 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
08 - ½ cup granulated sugar
09 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour

→ Filling and Garnish

10 - ¼ cup caramel sauce
11 - Additional chopped pistachios and walnuts for garnish
12 - ¼ cup powdered sugar
13 - ¼ cup cream cheese, softened

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and get a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
02 - Whip the butter and sugar together until it’s nice and airy. Stir in the honey. Mix dry ingredients separately, then add them to the butter mixture. Finally, gently fold in the nuts.
03 - Roll the dough into little balls, press them down a bit, and pop them in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Take them out when the edges are golden.
04 - While the cookies cool, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until you get a smooth texture.
05 - Spread some filling on a cookie and top it with another to make sandwiches. Add a caramel drizzle and sprinkle the nuts on top.
