01 -
Set your oven to 350°F and spray a loaf pan (8 ½ x 4 ½-inch) with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
02 -
In a big mixing bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder until it's well blended.
03 -
Whisk the milk, vanilla, melted butter, and egg in a different bowl until everything looks smooth and mixed.
04 -
Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until the batter is blended. It’s okay if it’s a bit lumpy—just don’t overdo it.
05 -
Pour the batter into the loaf pan, spreading it out to make an even surface.
06 -
Pop the pan into the oven and bake for 60–70 minutes. It’s done when you stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out with tiny crumbs, and the top looks golden.
07 -
Take the bread out of the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes in the pan. Then carefully transfer it to parchment paper to cool completely.
08 -
As the bread cools down but is still warm, brush melted butter across the top and sides using a pastry brush.
09 -
Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small bowl. Shake or sprinkle the mixture over the buttered bread, turning it to coat all sides evenly.
