Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread

01 - 1 large egg, at room temperature
02 - 1 ¼ cups (306 g) whole milk
03 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
04 - ½ teaspoon kosher salt
05 - 1 ½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
06 - 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
08 - 2 teaspoons baking powder

→ Spiced Sugar Coating

09 - ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
10 - ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted
11 - ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
12 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and spray a loaf pan (8 ½ x 4 ½-inch) with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
02 - In a big mixing bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder until it's well blended.
03 - Whisk the milk, vanilla, melted butter, and egg in a different bowl until everything looks smooth and mixed.
04 - Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until the batter is blended. It’s okay if it’s a bit lumpy—just don’t overdo it.
05 - Pour the batter into the loaf pan, spreading it out to make an even surface.
06 - Pop the pan into the oven and bake for 60–70 minutes. It’s done when you stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out with tiny crumbs, and the top looks golden.
07 - Take the bread out of the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes in the pan. Then carefully transfer it to parchment paper to cool completely.
08 - As the bread cools down but is still warm, brush melted butter across the top and sides using a pastry brush.
09 - Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small bowl. Shake or sprinkle the mixture over the buttered bread, turning it to coat all sides evenly.

# Notes:

01 - Pair this bread with tea or coffee—it works for breakfast, dessert, or as an anytime treat.
