Whip the butter and powdered sugar together for 3-5 minutes until fluffy. Toss in the egg yolks, salt, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.

Cut the mixture in two halves. Work 1 1/4 cups of flour into one part for plain dough. Stir 1 cup of flour and the cocoa into the other part for the chocolate dough.

Scoop out portions, around 1/4 teaspoon each, of both doughs. Roll them into tiny balls.

Line up three vanilla balls and three chocolate balls in a flower-like cluster. Squash them together and roll into a spiral shape.

Gently press the spirals down a bit, put them on a parchment-lined tray. Let them chill for 15-30 minutes. Bake in a 325°F oven for 13-15 minutes, or until the edges look golden.
