Butter Swirl Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/2 tsp salt
02 - 1 cup powdered sugar
03 - 2 egg yolks
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

→ Plain Dough

06 - 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

→ Cocoa Dough

07 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
08 - 1 cup all-purpose flour

# Instructions:

01 - Whip the butter and powdered sugar together for 3-5 minutes until fluffy. Toss in the egg yolks, salt, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
02 - Cut the mixture in two halves. Work 1 1/4 cups of flour into one part for plain dough. Stir 1 cup of flour and the cocoa into the other part for the chocolate dough.
03 - Scoop out portions, around 1/4 teaspoon each, of both doughs. Roll them into tiny balls.
04 - Line up three vanilla balls and three chocolate balls in a flower-like cluster. Squash them together and roll into a spiral shape.
05 - Gently press the spirals down a bit, put them on a parchment-lined tray. Let them chill for 15-30 minutes. Bake in a 325°F oven for 13-15 minutes, or until the edges look golden.
