Chilli Beef Crispy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - ½ Bell Pepper
02 - 2-3 Spring Onions
03 - 1 cup Corn or Potato Flour (Starch)
04 - ½ Sweet Onion
05 - 1 Egg
06 - 200 g Tender Steak (like Sirloin or Rump)
07 - 2-3 Hot Chilies (Birdeye or other)

→ Ingredients for Beef Marinade

08 - 1 tsp Sesame Oil
09 - ¼ tsp Ground White Pepper
10 - ½ tsp Sugar
11 - 1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
12 - 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

→ Sauce Mix

13 - ½ tsp Salt
14 - 2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
15 - 1 tsp Vinegar (white or rice)
16 - 2 tbsp Ketchup
17 - 1 tbsp Sugar
18 - 3 tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the steak into thin strips. Stir in all the marinade ingredients. Let it soak up the flavors for about 15 minutes.
02 - Stir together all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Keep it handy for later.
03 - Crack the egg into the marinated beef. Mix to coat the strips evenly. Toss them in corn or potato starch, separating each strip so nothing sticks. Shake off the extra flour before frying.
04 - Heat oil at high temperature around 350°F. Fry the coated strips for 1-2 minutes till crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on a rack or paper towels.
05 - Bring a wok or pan to medium-high heat. Pour in a bit of oil, toss in the chopped onions, and stir briefly. Add sliced bell peppers, blending them together.
06 - Toss the fried beef into the veggies. Pour the sauce in, sprinkle the fresh chilies and spring onions. Mix quickly on high heat for a minute or two.
07 - Scoop it onto a plate and pair it with warm rice or noodles. It’s also great for snacking right away.

01 - Tastes best when enjoyed fresh while crispy!
02 - Leave out the chillies if you want it mild or kid-friendly.
