Give those bites a couple of minutes to cool in the pan before taking them out. Serve warm, and if you like, drizzle some extra maple syrup on top.

Slide your bites into the oven and let them bake for somewhere around 12–15 minutes. They're good to go when the tops look golden and they've firmed up in the middle.

Grab your prepared mini muffin pan and pour the batter mixture in, filling each cup just about full.

Set your oven to 200°C and spray your mini muffin pan with nonstick spray to keep things from getting stuck.

Mix up the pancake mix and water in a big bowl until smooth. Add the cooked sausage, cheddar cheese, and the maple syrup. Stir until everything is spread evenly throughout the batter.

Heat a skillet on medium-high and toss in the breakfast sausage. Crumble it up while cooking. Once it's fully browned, drain the fat and set the sausage aside.
