# Ingredients:

→ Caramelized Onion Aioli

01 - 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
02 - ½ large yellow onion, minced finely
03 - 1½ teaspoons brown sugar
04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
05 - ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
06 - Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
07 - ¼ cup mayonnaise
08 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder

→ Burger Patties

09 - Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
10 - 450g ground beef (80–85% lean)

→ Serving Extras

11 - Fresh romaine lettuce leaves, chopped
12 - Sliced or cherry tomatoes
13 - Crispy French fries or roasted potato wedges

# Instructions:

01 - Warm olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Toss in the minced onion with a little salt and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring once in a while. Mix in the brown sugar and keep cooking for another 5–10 minutes until the onions are soft, golden, and sticky. If it looks too dry or starts to burn, turn the heat down and add a splash of water. Let the onions cool, then combine them in a bowl with vinegar, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, and garlic powder. Taste and adjust with more salt or pepper. Pop it in the fridge until you need it.
02 - Take the ground beef and divide it into 5 or 6 portions. Form each into a patty shape and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. After wiping out the skillet, heat it up again on medium-high, then cook each patty for about 2–3 minutes per side or until they're cooked how you like them.
03 - Grab some serving bowls and layer in lettuce, tomato slices, and crispy fries or potato wedges. Set a burger patty on top and finish with a big spoonful of the onion aioli. Add whatever toppings you love!

# Notes:

01 - You can make the onion aioli in advance and store it in the fridge for 3 days.
