Blackberry Crumb Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Crust

01 - 1 tsp almond extract
02 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
03 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
04 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
05 - 1 tsp baking powder
06 - 2 large eggs
07 - ¾ cup brown sugar
08 - ½ tsp cinnamon

→ Filling

09 - 1½ Tbsp cornstarch
10 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
11 - 4 cups blackberries, fresh or frozen
12 - 1 Tbsp lemon juice

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F, then grease a 9"x13" pan with spray. Stick a parchment paper sheet on the bottom.
02 - Stir the butter, flour, cinnamon, sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder together. Add eggs and almond extract and mix until smooth.
03 - Save 1½ cups of the mixture for topping. Spread the rest on the bottom of the pan, pressing it firmly.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, sugar, and cornstarch. Toss in blackberries gently and pour over the crust.
05 - Crumble the reserved dough on top of the berries. Bake 40-45 minutes until it turns golden. Let it cool totally before cutting.

01 - Blackberries can be fresh or frozen
02 - Bigger crumbles on top make it even better
