In a medium bowl, stir together the flour and sugar. Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Keep mixing until everything's smooth and well-blended.

Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it out. Scatter the fresh blueberries evenly across the batter. Sprinkle sugar over the berries to finish it off.

Pop it in the oven on the middle rack and bake uncovered for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. It's done when the top's golden and a toothpick poked in the center comes out clean. Let it cool a bit before serving.
