In another bowl, whisk up the egg, oil, and sugar until the mixture is smooth.

Stir the dry mix into the wet mix, then add the mashed bananas, vanilla, and buttermilk.

Pour the batter into your pan and sprinkle the walnuts on top. Let it bake for about 60–75 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when tested.
