Slice onions into rings about 1/4 inch thick and gently pull the layers apart.

In separate bowls, combine salt, flour, cornstarch, and black pepper in one. Whip eggs with milk in the next. Add just the panko crumbs to the last one.

First, dip the onion into the flour mixture. Then coat it with egg and milk. Last, press the crumbs onto it firmly. Repeat.

Spray ring pieces and air fryer tray lightly. Set them to cook for 5 minutes at 350°F, flip them, and let 'em crisp another 5 minutes.

Put mayo and ketchup in a small dish and stir until smooth.

Top with parsley (if you want) and serve warm with your sauce.
